Just to kick things up again and summarizing from the comments in Heather’s initial post she’s thrown out a date of September 23 to have an afternoon blogger and family picnic at JICP

Anybody else interested? There’s a nice shady picnic area kind of opposite the dog park area (the first left past the first stop sign you encounter once you enter the park) that would be a good spot for us. We can all bring our own picnic lunches or do a pot-luck thing (or a little bit of both). Should be a lot of fun!

I thought we could start gathering around noonish or so. A combo picnic/potluck thing sounds great 🙂 It will give everyone a chance to show off their culinary skills. Sounds like Mike will have to make extras of whatever he brings 🙂

I am heading up to a conference in Philadelphia Tuesday through the end of the week. I should be back but need to play this one by ear. There is also one other thing coming up for that date that I am unsure of but almost evey weekend is like that right now.
It means I won’t have any time to cook good stuff even if I can make the event 🙁
I’d like to come, but I think I’m out of town that weekend.
Don’t worry, I don’t plan on letting October go by without a meet-up, so if you can’t make it this time, we’ll try to get a better date for Oct.
