Matrix: Revolutions

Saw Matrix:Revolutions this afternoon. Reviews were lukewarm, and didn’t seem to be all that well received from what I’ve read of peoples’ comments on various boards, but I thought it was an excellent movie. I thought it was more in line with the first movie than Reloaded was. Plenty of action, some fabulous fight scenes, and very thought provoking. The ending reminded me of Star Trek: TMP. If you’ve got some time to kill, I think Philosophy and The Matrix has some interesting articles to read.

Can’t wait to see it at the IMAX now.

Scary Movie 3

Went to see Scary Movie 3 last night. Definitely one you can wait to rent, if you even want to do that. I’d recommend skipping it altogether. A spoof loosely based on The Ring. Mostly a series of corny jokes, most of which are spoofs of other horror/sci-fi movies, like in the previous Scary Movies. The movie has its moments, but not very many of them.

Matrix: Reloaded

Went to see Matrix: Reloaded yesterday at the IMAX theatre. In a word, awesome. In the words of the person next to us, “Holy Crap”. Seems it was his first IMAX experience.

Seeing it on the big IMAX screen and with the big IMAX sound was awesome. There was a glitch with the audio sync in the last 30 minutes of the movie that was mildly annoying, and halfway through the movie an automatic timer brought up the screen lights. The lights were soon turned back off though.

An excellent and highly recommended experience. I’m really looking forward to Matrix: Revolutions on IMAX now.
