The Compass No. 403 is another of the shorter slide rules in the collection. It’s a basic beginner’s slide rule made of bamboo with the scales printed on a plastic veneer. The cursor is also a magnifier which helps to see the small printing on the slide rule. One edge of the slide rule is beveled and has inch and cm ruler markings.
