MT 3.3 goes gold!

After kicking around the beta of MT 3.3 for the past few weeks, the 6A folks have declared it ready for release. MT 3.3 has a few nice back-end features that I’m looking forward to implementing (when I can find the time to get around to it). Look for it tomorrow.

CSS oddness

I’ve been wrestling with this problem on my individual entry archive pages where the side bar falls down to the bottom of the page instead of staying on the right, and I just can’t seem to figure out what’s making it do that. On some entries the side bar shows up where it’s supposed to, but on most of the entry pages it shows up at the bottom.

Individual entry pages are the only place it does that too. I’ve tried making the size of the #container and #beta divs larger to no avail. I have a feeling it could be some of the content in the sidebar that’s doing it, but I don’t know why it doesn’t happen on all the individual entry pages if that’s the case.

Argh.

Commenting fixed

Thanks to one of my friends who pointed out some commenting problems for non-TypeKey commenters, I managed to track down an issue with one of the anti-spam plugins I was using. Most likely I didn’t have it configured quite properly. It’s disabled now so now everybody should be able to leave comments once again.

I was wondering why it had gotten so quiet around here…

Finally joining the broadband masses

Ok, we finally decided to ditch the dial-up and join the DSL masses. I figured with most of the wife’s course content being online now, getting higher speed access would probably be a good thing. Put in the order to upgrade our Earthlink dial-up to DSL last night. Now just wait for their DSL kit to arrive in the mail and then connect everything up.
