Today’s third SuperHappyDevHouse Charleston took place at BoomTown.
BoomTown has a nice expansive space and even a few games to play with. There were around 10-12 people that came to play and code.
While others were working on various programming related things, I spent my time studying for my Drug Delivery final coming up on Thursday.
It was a good time hanging out with everybody today.
The Cliq continues to function decently as long as I don’t use it as a phone.
The G2X recently came out, which I’m rather tempted to upgrade to. $550 including taxes and shipping is a little more than I can afford right now though (car needs new tires). Then there’s also the impending T-Mobile/AT&T merger. Not sure that I want to give AT&T any more of my money.
The Market app on my phone is a little messed up. There are a bunch of apps (both installed and not) that it tells me it can’t find on the market. It will tell me that I have app updates, but when I tap on them it tells me the app can’t be found. But if I manually search for the app, it’s there and I can update it just fine. Very odd behaviour.
Thursday is Pork Chop day at JB’s.

Compared to undergrad where I had to deal with taking 5 exams in a week (3 in one day on a few occasions), PhD finals season isn’t so bad.
Today one of my profs sent out an email that informed us only two students wanted to take the final next Thursday, so let’s have the final this Thursday instead!
Crap.
It’s supposed to be similar to the midterm exam we got, so it shouldn’t be too bad. Still, there’s a lot of material to review between now and Thursday afternoon.
Next week will conclude PhD Year 2. Time to solidify my thesis project and work on the qualifier so that I can become a PhD student instead of just a PhD candidate.
