Home Team meatup

I think BBQ needs to be its own food group.

There was a very good turnout for tonight’s Cin-cue de Mayo BBQ meatup at Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ. To commemorate the occasion, Chrys had some appropriately themed door prizes

The BBQ meatups are always a good time. For the next meatup, keep an eye on the calendar at LowcountryBBQ.org.

Glass Onion meetup

Tonight’s meetup at The Glass Onion was pretty well attended, with about 21 people showing up. Seemed like everybody had a pretty good time, and it’s always nice to see new faces at the meetups.

The food? Oh yeah, it was really good. This is the braised pork belly and grits that I had. It was all kinds of yummy.

January meetup-ing

The end-of-the-month Lowcountry Blogger/Twitter/socialwhateveruser meetup is upon us. Sesame Burger and Beer (4726 Spruill Ave, North Charleston) is the proposed location. January 29 is the scheduled date and 6:30PM is the time to be there.

Meaty goodness at Amazon Grill

Today’s meetup at Amazon Grill was nice with 9 people showing up and a few new faces, which is always nice.

For the record, @mydwynter wants a karaoke meetup one of these days. I’m pretty sure it could be arranged. There’s been talk about a potluck meetup on the twittertubes. Karaoke would probably make a fine addition to that meetup.

Holiday meetup fun

Today’s holiday meetup at Bowen’s Island Restaurant turned out to be a lot of fun with a few new tweeters joining us.

As usual oysters were plentiful. We finished off about 3 or 4 piles like this

Jared also put on a Blackberry clinic, because just about everybody seemed to have one.
